Somatic dance is a deeply felt practice of listening to your body's intelligence. moving from sensation, emotion, and inner awareness rather than the mind's agenda. As a facilitator, you learn to hold a space where breath, sound and movement weave together naturally.
Each session follows a deliberate arc. You open with pranayama. breath sequences that shift the nervous system out of fight-or-flight and begin to activate the vagus nerve, creating the physiological conditions for safety and release. From there, sound enters: voice, music, or resonance work that loosens the body before movement begins. Intuitive somatic dance follows, guided by the chakra framework so the work has energetic direction rather than wandering.
Woven throughout are personal development prompts. reflective questions that bring conscious awareness to what is moving in the body, so that what arises doesn't stay unconscious. As a facilitator you learn to read the room: to see where someone is holding, where they are contracting, and how to guide them gently through the layer rather than around it. The structure holds the space so that what happens within it can be genuinely free.
This training takes you through that journey yourself first, then teaches you how to hold it for individuals and groups. The work moves through three levels: Personal Practice. 1:1 Facilitation. Group & Advanced Work.

Each energy centre holds both its empowering qualities and suppressed emotions. Through intuitive movement and felt sensation, we gently access, express, and integrate these layers.
Breath sequences become a bridge between sensation and expression. Weaving pranayama and sound into movement adds depth and embodiment, guiding the rhythm of the dance from within.
Simple rituals and grounding meditations create arrival, intention, and safety. The dance that follows unfolds with greater awareness, depth, and meaning.
Intentional techniques including shaking, tapping and vocal release. gentle, grounded tools for processing what arises in the body when held emotions begin to move.
Reflective questions and expressive writing make meaning of what arises. By bringing awareness into words, experience becomes more conscious and genuinely transformative.

The Inner Journey is your first step and the foundation of everything that follows. Before you can guide anyone else, you need to have lived this work in your own body. This is a guided somatic immersion drawing on intuitive movement, pranayama, chakra work, sound and meditation. A whole-body approach to releasing what's been stored.
Over three days or at your own pace, you'll move through each layer of self. emotional, energetic, physical. softening tension that talk therapy couldn't reach, and awakening a deeper, more grounded version of you. This is about coming home to your body. Everything in the facilitator training grows from what you discover here.
Level 2 opens the relational field. You will learn to lead another person through a somatic dance session, holding them with skill, presence and care. This is where your facilitation training begins in earnest.
Working with authentic voice, sound, and heart-led movement, you develop the capacity to guide transformative 1:1 experiences. You'll learn to use personal development questions to deepen the journey, hold safe and boundaried space, and work with the heart and throat chakra energy.
Level 3 is a 7-day in-person immersion in Bali. This is where everything comes together. You will learn to hold group somatic dance journeys, work with partner and energetic dance, and practise sacred touch as a facilitation tool.
The work integrates everything from Levels 1 and 2 and takes you into the most advanced dimensions of somatic facilitation. By the end, you are a qualified Somatic Dance Arts Facilitator. This level is about facilitating from full embodiment, intuition and trust.
Bi-weekly online group sessions open to all students across Levels 1 and 2. A living space for personal practice, integration and community, held every other Sunday by Pip.

Absolutely. This training is designed to deepen existing practice. expanding your awareness, refining your connection and exploring new layers of expression. It supports you in developing the skills to safely and confidently hold space for others. It is ideal for those who want to go deeper into their inner world while learning to guide emotional release in others.
Levels 1 and 2 are held online via Zoom, with details provided upon registration. Level 1 is also available as a self-paced programme with lifetime access. Level 3 is a 7-day in-person immersion in Bali. Participants arrange their own travel and accommodation, and Pip will help guide you through the practicalities every step of the way.
You can begin with Level 1 on its own. It stands beautifully as a personal somatic practice immersion. Levels 2 and 3 are sold as the core facilitator training pathway, as they form one continuous arc of learning. Level 3 in Bali is the final stage of the full certification. If you are drawn to the personal practice first and not yet sure about facilitation, Pip is happy to talk through this on a clarity call.
